Other Vintage Watches
Although my passion is for Omegas, I do have a soft spot for other brands, and regularly buy the very best quality vintage watches. Sometimes these are taken in part exchange, sometimes bought directly from private collections. Rest assured that we only take the very best!
Quick! Someone find me a time machine!
Caravelle Set O Matic 1973
Not that often these days that I come across such a lovely New Old Stock watch like this. Made by Caravelle (Bulova) with a great sweep seconds hand and just the most perfect period dial, I'd happily wear this watch every day. Automatic movement is like new and the watch is presented in its original box with Bulova swing tag. Just great, and not nearly expensive enough!
Dunhill Facet Dunhillion
Chunky and very well built, don't often come across these, but Dunhills generally have quite a following for their excellent build quality. I believe this is known as the City Diver, model 8039 from the Dunhillion range. Inner rotating bezel, Dunhill marked automatic viewable through exhibition aperture on the caseback. Solid stainless steel construction with the seemingly indestructable facet glass. On original Dunhill leather strap (poor, needs replacing) but Dunhill buckle fine.

For sale on behalf of one of our valued clients, a large collection of exceptional watches
Featured on this and the Omega Vintages Watches tab, a collection of outstanding vintage watches, including some of the finest military watches available.
Let's start with some fantastic Military watches.....
Lemania Military Chronograph 1967
We've seen a few of these, but never as good as this one. Like new, this single pusher chronograph is quite outstanding with full RAF Military markings to back
Omega Military Chronograph 1953
Also featured on the Omega Vintage Watches page, another fantastic RAf issue watch with full and correct markings to the caseback. Cal 283 correct movement in great order, again, it is like new, and is undoubtedly one of the finest available anywhere.
Hamilton Military Chronograph 1972
Love this watch. These Hamiltons are so underrated. Everything you'd expect with RAF markings to caseback. Amazing condition.
Hamilton Military 1975
British Army issue, again outstanding condition
CWC MIlitary Chronograph 1970
Again exceptional condition with full RAF markings to caseback
Patek Philippe 1952
Without doubt, one of the finest vintage watches that we have ever featured on the website. For sale on behalf of one of our clients, who is meticulous about the quality of his collection, here is a very rare timepiece.
Manufactured in 1952 and retailed in 1953, the watch is in incredible condition having been refurbished at the Patek factory in Switzerland at huge expense, making it now probably the best example of this model available. 18 carat rose gold throughout, the case, caseback, dial and crown are all immaculate and it is very hard to find fault anywhere. Presented in its original fitted Whittles of Preston box, the watch is accompanied by an Extract of the Archive proving originality. It was originally fitted with a leather strap (as detailed on the Extract document) which has been replaced, but the original 18 carat gold buckle is fitted to the leather strap.
The mechanical wind 10'''200 calibre movement works extremely well having been expertly serviced by qulaified technicians as required over many years, and the case, crown and caseback are all in excellent condition, as are the hands, glass and buckle.
So many similar watches that we see have been poorly stored, damaged, had psarts replaced and let's not even talk about the "replicas". If you want a 100% genuine, pristine Patek Philippe wristwatch, then this one deserves your attention. Available for inspection by arrangement with our client, who has the watch in his possession, the owner is happy to offer a 12 month guarantee, reinforcing the qulity of this great watch.
Replacement cost new? A cool £17,370 (and I would imagine, quite a long waiting list), and I doubt that it would be a patch on this vintage classic.

Hernor 17 jewel Chronometre
Can't make my mind up on this one! French made Hernor mid size, like new with diamond chips and baguette rubies to the dial. Quite an Art Deco look, but I suspect it's mroe likely to be 1950's. All original (as far as I'm aware) and quite a pretty thing. Measures 33.7mm inc crown).
Helvetia Rose Gold
Mid size, attractive original dial and hands, working well, 9 carat rose gold hallmarked case with snap on caseback, probably 1940's / 1950's. Cheap! (Measures 33.1mm inc crown)
9 carat gold Cushion Case
Unmarked for maker, attractive white enamel dial, original everything (excluding the gold plated expanding bracelet). Hallmarked 9ct yellow gold case, movement with hacking piece. Very good condition, 1920's at a guess. Measures 32.9mm inc crown)
I am a fan of Bulova watches, just not this one. It's big ( 45.8mm inc crown), has a part exhibition back, original strap, a nice shiny chunky case and I'm scraping the barrel now because you've really got to love it and I don't. The vendor assures me it's new old stock (he's probably right).
Breitling Navitimer Montbrillant Legende 2011
Another watch for sale on behalf of one of our clients. Fantastically presented with all inner and outer boxes, all papers including COSC certificate and Breitling adjustment tool as well as the Breitling leather presentation box. This is the largest watch that Breitling have made to date at 47mm and is the rare stainless steel and gold version, the bezel, crown, pushers and bracelet inserts all in solid gold.
Produced between 2007 and 2012 in very limited numbers, the Montbrillant series was Breitling's flagship model and this is a very complicated watch. Showing only minor signs of wear, the watch comes with a full original Bretling bracelet with extra links. Purchaed new in 2011 at a cost of £8,000.

Rolex Explorer 1964
Very rare and completely original. Mercedes hands, correct dial in excellent condition, screw down crown etc etc. I could go on and on about this watch which just has so much wrist appeal. From an impressive private collection, the vendor has priced this way below the few similar Explorers that are currently available for sale at the moment.
About to undergo a service.

Universal Geneve 18k gold
Super Universal dating from c1945, it's as clean as a whistle and the 18 carat gold case shows no sign of wear and tear. Calibre 263 movement works a treat and the watch looks great on the wrist. Believed to be completely original and in excellent overall condition. I'm very tempted myself!
Fulton Triple Calendar 1940's
Quite an interesting watch this and more sought after these days as the market in more complicated early watches is growing. Swiss triple date by Fulton with day and month apertures, along with calendar date hand following an outer track. Pushers at 2 and 4 adjust the date functions.
Very good condition for its age and all functioning correctly.
Great quality 1950's oversized watch from this most sought after brand. Measuring an impressive 39mm including crown, mechanical wind movement runs strongly. Some age related patina to the dial.
Bulova Accutron 1973
Just back from a complete overhaul, this watch is in really great condition and as usual, completely original. With its inner and outer boxes (the outer a bit tatty) and blank guarantee, these tuning fork Bulovas are now really collectable and it's hard to find one in this condition. The 2180G movement hums nicely and there is a lovely smoothy sweep to the seconds hand.

NEW ARRIVAL OCTOBER 2016
For sale on behalf of a private collector
Love this watch! I have quite a soft spot for early Chronographe Suisse watches, and this is one of the best I've seen. Late 1940's to early 1950's watch with 18 carat rose gold case with Helvetia poincon for Chaux-de-Fond, watch number 3001, with Chronographe Geneve maker's mark 167. Landeron 54 mechanical movement is smooth as can be and I've timed to 29 seconds per day; not bad for a 70 year old watch! 42 hour power reserve.
Dial is excellent with both Base 1000 Tachymetre and Base 1km Telemetre scales. Sub dials for small seconds and minute timer. Chronograph function works beautifully with a satisfying click.
Case, dial, crystal all excellent and all original. What more could you want?!

Rado Captain Cook
A rare survivor! Again, a one owner watch from new.
This is such a great watch; only in issue between 1967 and 1972, just 5,000 were made. This model from c1971, reference 11868, Tonneau shaped case in stainless steel, case measuring 39mm including crown. Inner rotating bezel with 20 min yachting markers. All original and signed crowns, glass, dial, back etc etc. Date aperture gives day of the week (number of the day), day and date. 25 jewel automatic movement is the finest that Rado ever made and of course keeps perfect time. C -shaped hour markers, matt black dial and no loss whatsoever to hand painted dial, hands or dial markers. Truly excellent condition on non original leather strap.
What makes this watch so unusual is the fact that the main crown controls the inner bezel rather than the time, which is altered by the crown at 4 o'clock. This is undoubtedly one the finest examples of this rare watch available.
