Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Why "The Stamphouse"?
The Stamphouse name has been in our family for nearly 50 years. Originally a business selling rare early British stamps (which we still do from time to time).
Why do you not quote prices on the website?
We sell at fairs, on ebay and privately to our rapidly growing base of local and international clients, so our stock often sells very quickly. We use the website as a showcase or shop window. Please don't be afraid to ask for a price on any item you see. We are always happy to negotiate.
Will you accept an offer on an item?
We will always consider sensible offers and promise not to laugh at ludicrous ones!
Will you send items to locations outside the UK?
Yes, we regularly post items to locations all over the World and have now sold into 28 countries!
Is there anything that you will not buy/sell?
We tend not to deal in the following areas;
- Militaria
- Taxidermy
- Precious metals
- Furniture
I have antiques and/or collectables that I want to sell. Interested?
Always. We travel all over the UK to buy quality items. Call Charlie on 07730 588159!
Can I just ask your advice?
Of course you can. I will happily help in any way I can without any obligation. Whether it's how or where to sell, how or where to buy, or just about anything to do with antiques and collectables, please feel free to call me.
How much is postage & packing?
Our preferred method of delivery is via Royal Mail. In some cases, a nominal charge is made for items that are particularly difficult to pack, but mostly you just pay the postage cost.
All items are sent Recorded or Special Delivery.
